About Me

Dear Friends,

Thank you for stopping by my store and getting to know about me! I will tell you first....that as long as i can remember i have always wanted to be a teacher! maybe it was the way my mom talked about education and how she made it a priority in my home...or maybe knowing that if you are a teacher you truly are a rockstar! who gets to go to work with people constantly waving at you, wanting to hug you, who listen to every single word that comes out of your mouth and holler you name all the time? hello---teachers!

I graduated from the University of Houston in 2000, with a Teaching degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, specializing in Reading and Spanish.
In 2005, I received my Masters in Administration from Stephen F. Austin. I also received my Dyslexia Certification in 2005,  I taught 3rd and 4th grade, then moved to becoming the Dyslexia and Reading Specialist at a school in my district.

during all this time i married to my HIGH School Sweetheart Andrew, we had 2 boys~ Jonah (10), Noah (8) and Our Ladybug Helena (1 year)!

In 2007, I decided to become a full-time stay home mom to my two boys. During this time at home, I worked part-time for the Language Arts Curriculum Department as a Reading Interventionist, Administrator & Curriculum writer.

In 2011, I accepted a full time job as a 4th grade Language Arts teacher in cfisd, at a school literally 1 minute from my house! I continued writing curriculum for the district and training throughout the district in STAAR, Reading and Writing Staff Developments. In 2014 I received a Reading award GRANT for CFISD.

At the end of the 2014 school year,  I decided to take a different journey in my career! I wanted to continue working with students, teachers and be home with my baby girl! So I took on working part time! I now work with students in grades 2-5 in Dyslexia, Reading and Writing. I also, create a lot of my material to assist with working with these students. I am having so much fun on this journey.

I have been blessed this past year to be asked to create and design curriculum for schools across Texas and training teachers in the Writing Process and cultivating the Writing program in their classroom. This chapter in life is more than I could have ever imagined! I am thankful I took the leap I took in 2014 to bring me where I am today!

Thank you for stopping by and if I can ever assist you in anything, please do not hesitate in contacting me! I truly believe it takes a village to teach our kids and together we can do it!
